You met. You connected. Then the week took over.

Hailey remembers the people you meet, and tells you when their moment comes: a new role, a deal, a rough patch. You write. The connection stays alive.

The people we mean to keep

A conference, a dinner, a five à sept. A good conversation, a card in the pocket, a sincere "let's stay in touch". Then Monday comes, and the file, and the next thing. Most of those connections go quiet within days. Not for lack of interest. For lack of a reason to write.

Research on professional networks says the same thing twice: relationships fade fast when nobody has a reason to reach out, and the ones that get rekindled turn out to be among the most valuable a person has. The difference is rarely effort. It is timing.

What Hailey does

Hailey gives you the reason, at the right time. Copy her on an email to someone you have just met. From then on she follows that person's news and their organisation's, quietly. When something happens that matters to them, a promotion, a transaction, a ruling, a setback, she writes you a short note in your own voice. Three sentences, warm, specific, ready to send. You read it, change a word, and send it. Or you do not.

What a note from Hailey looks likeHi Marie, Saw that the Rosemont project got its approval this week. Congratulations, that was a long road. If any of it lands on your desk in a way I can help with, you know where to find me. Alex

A note that arrives on the day something happens says one thing clearly: I remember you. That is the whole of it.

How it works

  1. BCC Hailey on an email you send to someone. Nothing else changes about how you work. Forgot? Forward her the exchange afterwards.
  2. Every Monday morning, she reviews the news about each person she follows for you, and about their organisation.
  3. When there is a reason to write, you receive the note. When there is not, you hear nothing but a brief weekly summary, so you know she is still watching.

One rule

Hailey never writes to your contacts. Every note comes to you, and only you decide whether it goes. She does the remembering. The reaching out stays yours, because that is the part that means something.

Talking to Hailey

There is nothing to install and no dashboard to learn. You tell Hailey what you want by replying to her emails in your own words: once a month rather than every week, pause for a while, stop following an organisation, or show me who you are following for me. In English or in French.
